PoC radios work like walkie talkies but carry calls over mobile data, so teams can talk across towns or states wherever there is usable mobile coverage.

01 When PoC is a good fit

Teams that move beyond one site.

Teams can talk across towns or states without building their own repeater sites. Obor Kuasa plans, sets up and supports PoC for teams in Malaysia.

03 When it is not enough on its own

Combine PoC with a site path.

In these cases PoC is usually combined with a site repeater system or a LoRa path.

PoC topology: PoC handsets and vehicle users connect through the mobile network to talk groups, reaching a dispatcher, a team at another site, and an optional link to two-way radios.

08 Before / after

One site's radio versus one talk group.

Drag the handle. Left: a site radio system covers one location. Right: PoC joins teams at several sites where mobile coverage is usable.

10 Field questions

PoC questions.

Short answers about licensing and data.

01Do PoC radios need a radio licence?

PoC uses the mobile network, so it does not use your own radio frequency. If PoC is linked with two-way radios, those radios follow their own MCMC requirements.

02Does PoC need a SIM and data plan?

Yes, each PoC device needs mobile data.
